Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Vermont Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift. This position involves providing care primarily for adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases, in a rural hospital located in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. The RN will coordinate comprehensive patient care across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric units, supporting a team-oriented environment. The role offers an opportunity to experience the natural beauty and outdoor adventures of Vermont while delivering exceptional healthcare in a critical access hospital setting. Job Details: Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week Required Qualifications: Valid Vermont RN or multi-state RN licensure, BLS certification (American Heart Association), ACLS certification, at least 3 years of acute care experience, Meditech experience preferred. Preferred Qualifications: None specified Float: Float rotation may be required. Additional Information: Travelers will start on Wednesdays. During the week of orientation, travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start. Credentialing requirements must be completed and credentials uploaded five business days before the start date.
