Summary
Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth needed for primary school in preschool
Duties- Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
- Prepare reports on students and activities as required by the administration.
- Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of preschool programs.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
- CDA certification in Preschool or Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or NYS Certification (Birth through Grade 2)
- 2 years of working experience in childcare, including at least 1 year in a lead teacher role.
- Knowledge in Handwriting without Tears
- Knowledge of Eureka Math
- Further Education Studies in Early Childhood paid by Quality Star

Jericho STEM Academy is an OCFS-licensed preschool program that provides a nurturing environment designed for children from 6 weeks old to pre-K. We offered flexible scheduling options, including 2 to 5 day fixability schedules with half-day and full-day availability. Extended care was also available.
