MedSurg RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position with a night shift schedule, working 4x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated MedSurg RN to provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical environment. As a MedSurg RN, you will be responsible for managing patient care, administering medications, and monitoring patient health while working collaboratively with medical staff and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered nursing care in a med-surg unit.
• Monitor vital signs and manage medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in emergency situations and provide rapid response services as needed.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of MedSurg nursing experience preferred.
• Active South Carolina RN license or compact license required prior to start.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Comfortable with patient ratios between 1:6 to 1:7.
