Job Description: GERI PSYCH DAYS (07:00 - 19:00) NO FIRST TIMERS 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED AVG DAILY CENSUS: 12 ROOMS: 6 BEDS: 12 PATIENT AGE GROUP- GERIATRICS STAFFING RATIOS- DAYS 1:6- NIGHT 1:6- WEEKENDS 1:6 FLOAT REQUIRED - YES, TO OTHER BH UNITS EVERY OTHER WEEKEND COVERAGE MEDICATION SYSTEM: OMNICELL DOCUMENTATION SYSTEM: MEDITECH COMMUNICATION: SBAR CERTIFICATIONS - BLS - CPI, IF NOT CPI, MUST HAVE A SIMILAR CERT
Job Requirements & Qualifications: Previous charge experience, years of experience, patient ratio experience, preferred charting system name: Meditech. Certifications: BLS, CPI, if not CPI, must have a similar cert. Skills: Antianxiety, anti-depressants, antipsychotics, anxiety disorders, assault/violence, bipolar disorder, blood glucose monitoring, congenital/developmental disorders, crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, degenerative disorders, depressive disorders, geriatric, inpatient, locked unit, managing assaultive behavior, medication administration, mood stabilizer, personality disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, sedatives/analgesics, self-injurious behavior, starting and maintaining IVs, substance use, suicidal behavior, trauma-and stressor-related disorders, use of seclusion, voluntary/involuntary commitment.
