Summary

Medical Technologist opportunity in Overland Park / Leawood working in an acute care hospital laboratory setting. The role focuses on blood bank testing, specimen processing, quality control, complex laboratory analysis, and supporting diagnostic services in a high-volume hospital environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science required
• ASCP certification (or equivalent) required
• Minimum 1+ year recent Blood Bank experience in an acute care hospital required
• Hospital-based blood bank experience required
• Strong laboratory analysis and quality control knowledge required

Responsibilities Include

• Blood bank and laboratory testing
• Specimen collection and processing
• Data entry and result validation
• Equipment maintenance and quality assurance
• Training/support for staff and students
• Evaluation of testing methods and instruments

Shift Options

• Evening shifts:
• • 40 hours/week
• Night shifts:
• • Thursday – Sunday
  • 32 hours/week
• Weekend-focused scheduling available

Pay & Benefits

• Base pay: $29 – $41/hr

Shift Differentials

• +$2/hr evenings
• +$3/hr nights
• +$3/hr weekends

Additional Benefits

• $20,000 sign-on bonus
• $5,000 relocation assistance
