Assistant Professor of Practice in Biotechnology and Genomics

Position Description:

The Biotechnology Graduate Program in the Graduate School at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month Assistant Professor of Practice position in Biotechnology and Genomics to begin immediately.

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in related area.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience (graduate teaching experience counts towards minimum).
• Demonstrated expertise in genomics, long read sequencing, single cell genomics, bioinformatics, or related fields, with evidence of scholarly or applied contributions.
• Experience in academic, professional, or community outreach, student mentoring, and/or service activities that support genomics education and workforce development.
• Experience in biotechnology, genomics, healthcare, diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or related industry settings, with familiarity in applying genomic technologies and data analysis to real world applications.
