Financial Analyst - Senior Contract length: 4-5 months c2h Location:Framingham, MA Hybrid Pay: $50/hr - $55/hr, (DOE) Responsible for providing ongoing analytical support to enable cost-effective operational performance and provide insights that influence senior management decision-making. Develops and allocates monthly store sales, labor, and controllable expense plans for each location by evaluating and interpreting recent performance trends across a complex group of store-specific metrics while considering annual plan assumptions. Responsible for preparing weekly and monthly reports that provide insight into recent performance and the interpretation and impact of that performance on future periods. Assesses performance against plan and prior periods across key metrics, including sales, productivity, wage rates, and attrition, while considering non-traditional, start-up, and test formats that may influence recommendations for future planning periods. Major Areas of Responsibility Develops monthly labor and expense plans by location that result in an operating plan used to staff and schedule teams to meet business requirements. Partners routinely with regional and operational leadership to provide support, challenge results, reassess needs, and provide analytical guidance that will influence business performance. Provides weekly and monthly reporting and analysis addressing performance against plan across a variety of metrics that influence forecasting. Partners with analysts and accountants across Finance to provide support that influences monthly operational planning, rolling forecasts, and month-end closing processes. Develops methods, procedures, and guidelines for preparing labor and expense budgets, including recommendations for budgeting policies, practices, and standards. Conducts research and performs ad hoc analysis to support business decisions, sales performance, and profit growth. Supports administrative tasks, including invoice processing, as required. Required Skills/Experience 8+ years of experience in budget preparation, administration, and financial control within a multi-unit environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to quickly achieve proficiency in new applications and systems. Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment. Preferred Skills/Experience Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
