Contract Occupational Therapist Position

Step into a rewarding role as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting students in their academic journey for the 2026-2027 school year! Two full-time Occupational Therapists are needed: one serving elementary grade levels (1.25 FTE) and another at the high school level (1.0 FTE). Beginning August 24, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, you'll play a key part in helping students succeed in an inclusive, collaborative environment near Livonia, MI.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Michigan OT license (or eligibility to obtain prior to the assignment start date)
• Experience in school-based therapy essential; additional exposure to home health and healthcare settings highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for empowering young learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing students' abilities to develop individualized education and therapy plans
• Providing direct and consultative OT services to support IEP goals
• Collaborating closely with teachers, families, and school staff to maximize student participation and success
• Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with documentation standards
• Delivering therapy both one-on-one and in small groups
• Contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture that values each student's unique strengths
