Front Counter Associate


We are seeking a customer-focused Front Counter Associate to support sales, customer service, inventory management, and daily retail operations in an industrial supply environment. This position is responsible for assisting customers, processing transactions, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a professional customer experience.

Job Duties

• Greet and assist customers with product selection and purchasing decisions
• Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a professional manner
• Process sales transactions, including cash, credit card, and purchase order payments
• Assist customers in locating products, equipment, supplies, and replacement parts
• Learn and utilize inventory and ordering systems to support customer needs
• Receive, stock, and organize incoming inventory
• Maintain product displays and ensure merchandise is properly stocked
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales floor and front counter area
• Support daily sales, inventory, and operational activities as assigned
• Follow company policies and provide excellent customer service at all times

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Previous retail, customer service, counter sales, or sales support experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management systems
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new products, processes, and procedures

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the workday
• Ability to stock shelves, organize inventory, and handle materials as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service environment
