About the Role We are seeking a Packaging Operator to join our team at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. As a Packaging Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating packaging equipment, monitoring packaging quality, and ensuring adherence to production schedules and safety standards. Shift & Schedule Shift: 3rd Shift Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM Weekend Availability: Required Compensation Hourly Rate: $20 – $21.25 Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) Ensure adherence to daily production, packaging, and bagging schedules while maintaining adequate packaging material inventory. Set up and adjust case erector measurements and bag inserter programming according to product specifications. Monitor and verify bag sealing temperatures, box strength, and packaging quality through regular checks. Operate packaging equipment and communicate maintenance concerns promptly. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with GMPs and safety protocols. Utilize Aspire AOE training with Centerline and CIL daily management systems. Participate in root cause analysis, area walks, and continuous improvement initiatives while training others on standard work procedures. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) High School Diploma or GED. Two years of related manufacturing experience and/or training, or equivalent combination. Ability to read and interpret production schedules, safety rules, and operating instructions. Ability to complete routine reports and speak effectively before groups. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn new software. Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) Prior experience in packaging operations within a food manufacturing environment. Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and processes.
