FACULTY POSITION IN TRANSPLANT INFECTIOUS DISEASES
Division of Infectious Diseases | Our Organization

Our organization is currently looking for a board-certified or board-eligible physician specializing in Infectious Diseases , particularly with fellowship training or significant expertise in Transplant Infectious Diseases, to join our faculty at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The rank will be determined based on experience.

The primary clinical responsibilities will be based at a renowned cancer center, recognized nationally as an NCI-designated comprehensive facility. The successful candidate will provide specialized infectious diseases consultations for patients with hematologic malignancies, those undergoing stem cell transplants, cellular therapies, and other immunocompromised individuals. This recruitment is part of our ongoing expansion to meet the rising clinical needs and enhance our academic presence in this specialty.

Academic and Research Responsibilities

As a faculty member, the selected individual will:

• Support the educational goals of the School of Medicine by instructing medical students, residents, and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient environments.

• Engage in or oversee clinical, translational, or health-systems research related to transplant infectious diseases, diagnostic stewardship, infections in immunocompromised hosts, and clinical microbiology.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncology, hematology, microbiology, pharmacy, and population health, to enhance care for complex transplant patients.

• Contribute to the strategic growth of transplant infectious diseases within the division through program development, protocol creation, and academic involvement.

Opportunities for dedicated mentorship and protected academic time may be available for candidates with specific scholarly interests.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Infectious Diseases.

• Completion of a fellowship or demonstrated expertise in Transplant Infectious Diseases or infections in immunocompromised hosts.

• Eligibility for medical licensure in Michigan.

• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, education of trainees, and academic research.
