Position Summary

Supports the Accounting and Finance department by improving the integration, automation, and use of JCQ’s business systems, including Procore, QuickBooks, and related platforms. This role develops system integrations, automated and AI-assisted workflows, and reporting solutions that reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and increase efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong technical, programming, and problem-solving skills with an interest in accounting systems, AI, automation, and process improvement. Prior accounting experience is not required and can be learned on the job.

Key Responsibilities

Systems, AI & Automation

• Build and maintain integrations between Procore, QuickBooks, and other business systems.
• Develop automated and AI-assisted workflows using APIs, scripting, Power Automate, Zapier, Make, or similar tools.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual data entry, streamline processes, and improve system efficiency.
• Apply AI tools to workflow development, data validation, document processing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Test, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations and automated workflows.
• Maintain documentation for integrations, automations, and system processes.
• Support the implementation and adoption of new technology and AI tools.

Accounting Process Automation

• Develop and maintain automated invoice review, routing, and approval workflows.
• Work with Accounting staff to understand business rules, approval requirements, and process needs.
• Identify process bottlenecks and develop practical system-based solutions.
• Support automation initiatives across Accounting and Finance as business needs evolve.

Data & Reporting

• Collect, organize, and validate financial and operational data.
• Prepare and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
• Identify data inconsistencies and support data accuracy across systems.
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, data extraction, and basic analysis.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, Data Analytics, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• Programming or scripting ability using Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar technologies.
• Experience with APIs, system integrations, or automation platforms.
• Proficiency using AI tools to build, troubleshoot, and improve business workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical users.
• No prior accounting experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Procore and/or QuickBooks.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable or general accounting processes.
• Experience with AI-assisted workflows, automation, or cloud-based business systems.
• Coursework or certification in accounting, finance, data analytics, AI, automation, or related areas.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a full-time, in-person position is primarily based in a professional office environment, with occasional travel to job sites, warehouses, and supplier locations. Regular and reliable attendance is essential.
