About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 3 years required License: RN Licensure required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - First-time travelers accepted - Experience with patient ratios of 6 - Charting system experience preferred Description: Unit details include weekend coverage every other week. No call requirement is in place. Travelers may be required to float within the facility and scope of practice as needed. Blocked schedule requests are not accepted. Travelers are expected to work on major holidays as outlined in the policy. If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler must work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both. If three major holidays occur, the traveler must work two of the holidays. Full compliance is required to ensure a timely start. If compliance items are not completed on time, the start date may be pushed back by two weeks. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Onboarding includes completion of core items and labs within a specific timeframe. All compliance documents must be submitted by the established deadline. Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty. Modules are recorded via transcripts. The daily patient age groups consist of adults and geriatrics. Further details regarding patient diagnoses and special procedures may be provided during onboarding.
