Design Engineer

Job DetailsJob Location: Architectural Arts DM - Des Moines, IA 50313Salary Range: $26.00 - $30.00 Hourly Essential Functions Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision. Work with Project Managers regarding accuracy, design, drafting standards and design documentation. Collaborate with Cabinet Makers to ensure coordination of design is maintained. Generate production programming that complies with company standards. Provide visual guidelines and show how to construct a product or structure. Include technical details and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures in the shop drawings. Generate submittal drawings that comply with company standards and adequately communicate our intentions. Qualifications / Required Skills / Abilities Knowledge of drafting standards, mathematics, science, and engineering technology Solid background in CAD techniques Proficient use of Microsoft Excel Strong problem-solving skills Excellent technical design skills Education and Experience Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school highly recommended Bachelor's Degree a plus Drafting experience a plus Construction or woodworking background helpful Equivalent combination of education and experience Physical Requirements Regularly requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Architectural Arts
