Main Purpose of Job Provide psychiatric nursing care to adolescents with emotional disabilities and court‑involved youth on a residential unit or as designated. The role requires medication administration and daily management of groups of adolescents. You will be in charge of, and responsible for, the delivery of nursing care to an assigned unit and will be in training for Charge Nurse duties. Location MDH - John L Gildner RICA 15000 Broschart Rd. Rockville, MD Minimum Qualifications Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Nursing under the licensing requirements for Registered Nurses. Experience: None. Desired or Preferred Qualifications Experience working with adolescents with emotional disabilities and court‑involved youth Experience using Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) techniques Licenses, Registrations and Certifications Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi‑state license in the states declared as primary residence. May be required to hold a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in the State of Maryland. Must successfully complete and maintain current certification of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training.
