Surgical Technologist Senior

Site: Wentworth‑Douglas Hospital, Mass General Brigham. Job Summary: Full‑time day position at WDH in Dover, NH. 4 ten‑hour shifts with minimal call and higher pay rates. Great benefits including medical, dental, 10 paid holidays, a 403(b), and Cash Balance Pension Plan. Essential Functions Participates in time‑out procedures. Attains extra supplies and equipment as needed. Sets up equipment independently. Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team. Monitors and continually assesses operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs. Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning patients on the operating table and covering them with sterile surgical drapes to prevent exposure. Has knowledge of SPD Sterile Room. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; NH Medical Tech license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Licenses & Credentials: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) – preferred; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – preferred. Experience: 2‑3 years as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required; 4 years experience with committee and leadership experience preferred (3‑5 years). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: SPD Sterile Room knowledge, ability to multitask, experience in fast‑paced clinical environment, advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies, familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
