Strength and Conditioning Specialist

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the leadership with the day-to-day running of the core functional areas to ensure compliance with the prime contract, all subsequent amendments, program business rules, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Analyzes daily, weekly, and monthly reports for performance measurement and efficiencies
- Participates with project and executive management to establish strategic plans, objectives, initiatives, and work plans
- Assists the leadership in efforts to facilitate a functional, motivated, and cohesive project team
- Directly supervises and manages key Project staff as determined by the leadership
- Works with Project and executive management to develop, monitor and revise performance goals and objectives for the project and staff. Monitors achievement of those goals
- Provides direction to team members and resolves problems in a timely and professional manner
- Assists in the creation and implementation of innovative methodologies, process improvements and corrective action plans to continually streamline and improve project operations, outcomes, and quality.
- Develops, modifies, and executes project policies, ensuring all project team members comply
- Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
- Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management
- Design, administer, evaluate, and document physical training protocols for SOF personnel in garrison, TDY/TAD, or deployed environments under the supervision of the POTFF or Physical Domain Manager and/or Coordinator.
- Customize and disseminate training programs efficiently to end users, using process efficiencies wherever possible.
- Coordinate training programs with Human Performance staff to support the safe and expeditious return to training of SOF personnel recovering from injury.
- Refer personnel with apparent new or undiagnosed medical conditions to a medical provider for evaluation and treatment.
- Collaborate with Sports Medicine professionals and/or the Bridge Coordinator to support a smooth transition from rehabilitation to performance-based activities.
- Collaborate with cognitive performance and performance nutrition personnel to promote a holistic approach to human performance.
- Assist the POTFF or Physical Domain Manager and/or Coordinator in developing facility standard operating procedures, guidelines, and training protocols, including safe use of strength and conditioning equipment.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly cleaned, organized, utilized, and maintained in safe working condition.
- Document services in Human Performance enterprise-wide platforms, including HPDMS, as directed by USSOCOM Directive 10-12.
- Perform additional duties as assigned through local leadership, as documented and approved through local POTFF leadership.
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree in relevant field of study and 7+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current licensed therapist valid in the state of practice is required. - Education and licensure requirements are based on program contract requirements and are outlined in job posting - Bachelor's degree from an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline required; master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of demonstrable accumulated experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach working with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the NCAA Collegiate Division I, Olympic, professional sports, USAF CRAFT, USAF SWTW, and/or SOF Operator levels. - Paid, full-time experience as government civilian or contract personnel embedded on-site with non-SOF Combat Arms, fixed-wing fighter units, U.S. Army H2F, and EOD units may count toward minimum qualification requirements when performed directly with the respective Army, Navy, Air Force, and/or Marine Corps entities. - Current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) as a Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Maintenance of CSCS or SCCC certification is an enduring requirement.
- Current basic CPR certification, including AED training.
- Physically proficient in demonstrating all prescribed exercises and techniques and capable of meeting the physical demands of training with SOF personnel, including hiking over rough terrain, operating in austere environments, and observing SOF training evolutions. Preferred Requirements - Experience supporting SOF, tactical athletes, military populations, or elite performance environments.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary human performance teams, including sports medicine, performance nutrition, cognitive performance, or behavioral health professionals.
- Familiarity with Human Performance enterprise systems, including HPDMS.
Credentialing and Privileging This position does not require a face-to-face interview.

Reports to: Typically reports to the POTFF or Physical Domain Manager and/or Coordinator, or other designated program leadership.
