Manufacturing Shop Technician (31387)

Overview Join Agape Water Solutions, Inc., a division of UCC Environmental, as a Technician. You will assist with manufacturing water treatment systems and control panels, then transition to field service providing hand‑on service to customers locally and worldwide. Responsibilities Understand and adhere to safety guidelines, making safety the highest priority. Install, repair, and troubleshoot water treatment equipment, including high‑purity and industrial systems. Install PVC, PP, and stainless steel piping and perform skid welding (plus a certification). Monitor inventory and manage spare‑part stock and work tools. Provide onsite service, prepare reports, and perform all other duties as assigned. Education and Experience High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent experience. 0–3 years in the water treatment industry or equivalent experience. Stainless‑steel piping and skid welding certification is an advantage. Characteristics and Skills Ability to learn fluid concepts, instrumentation, and electrical equipment. Experience troubleshooting instruments such as flow meters, variable‑speed drives, temperature sensors, level transmitters, and communication devices. Ability to inspect and test PLCs and control‑panel wiring. Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plant instrumentation, electrical equipment, piping, and conduit systems. Read and interpret piping, general‑arrangement, electrical drawings, loop sheets, schematics, and P&ID's. Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools. Strong communication skills, high responsibility, quick learning, mechanical and analytical aptitude. Physical Requirements Work standing all day; lift up to 50 lbs. Climb stairs and ladders; accommodate varying work schedules. Full manual dexterity (sitting, squatting, bending, kneeling, lifting, walking, manipulating tools with limbs extended).
