Registered Nurse - PACU

$2461.60/week –

Job Summary:
The PACU Registered Nurse provides specialized postoperative care to surgery patients, ensuring their safe recovery and transitioning them to appropriate care levels. This role requires skilled management of pediatric and gynecologic cases, with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Stabilize and monitor postoperative patients, ensuring optimal recovery conditions.
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Assess patient status continuously, recognizing and responding to complications or adverse events promptly.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and support staff to facilitate smooth patient transitions.
• Follow all clinical protocols and maintain compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Hold active BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and successful dysrhythmia testing completion.
• Demonstrate prior experience in Pediatric and Gynecologic postoperative care, with general PACU exposure.
• Possess a valid nursing license from any U.S. state; VT license application upon acceptance.
• Exhibit proficiency with Cerner EMR (preferred).
• Have strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient communication skills.
• Capable of working 10-hour day/evening shifts in a fast-paced environment.
