Medical Assistant I

Part-time     On Site

Location: 800 Biesterfield Rd, Suite 565, Elk Grove Village, IL, 60007

Days: 4 days in a week: 20-25 hrs./week, increasing to 30-35 hrs./wk. from January 2027

Rate: $19/hr.

Roles and Responsibilities

Primary

1. Room patients in a timely manner and prepare exam/treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
2. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during physical exams, minor office surgeries, or specialized procedures.
3. Appointment Scheduling
4. Clean minor wounds, change dressings, and remove sutures as directed.

Secondary

1. Appointment Scheduling and Confirmations
2. Prescription Prior Authorizations and Medication Management
3. Insurance Verification
4. Klara Patient Communication Management
5. Referrals Management
6. eFax Inbox Management

Qualification and Experience

• Minimum: Associate degree or at least 2-4 years relevant experience
• Some experience in Insurance Verification process
• Some experience: Prescription Prior Authorization and Patient Medication Management
• Appointment Scheduling
• Dermatology experience a plus but not required
• Knowledge and usage of an EMR system;- EMR ModMed usage experience a plus
