Overview As part of our kitchen crew, the Dishwasher keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. From keeping dishware and cookware sparkling clean to helping maintain a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen, this role is essential to the daily success of The Buttery. Responsibilities Dishwashing & Sanitation Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dishwashing areas, including floors, sinks, and counters. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all cleaning and sanitation tasks. Utility & Maintenance Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen, storage, and service areas, including routine trash, recycling, and compost removal, reporting any issues to management. Support kitchen operations by restocking clean items, assisting with prep, and jumping in where needed. Help with general upkeep of interior and exterior areas, including cleaning floors, surfaces, and shared spaces. General Support Support organization and maintenance of kitchen inventory, cold storage, and dry goods, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and stocked. Assist with setting up and breaking down kitchen stations and equipment at the beginning and end of shifts. Handle cleaning supplies with care, ensuring proper storage and safe usage at all times. Requirements Qualifications Reliable, hard-working, and able to handle physically demanding tasks (including lifting up to 50 lbs.) in a fast-paced environment. Team player with a positive attitude, flexible availability, and a willingness to support various kitchen and utility tasks as needed. Previous experience is a plus, but not required-on-the-job training is provided for candidates eager to learn and work independently.
