The APM will assist in the management of multiple projects while providing support to the Project Managers and other key members in the preconstruction phases as well as during the projects. Help coordinate projects and plans, schedules, and track the progress of projects and report their results.Responsibilities:Help oversee a construction project from start to finish.Manage preconstruction paperwork and engage with all internal and external parties.Manage day-to-day project activities including the POD and time sheets.Assist in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.Work with project manager to ensure understanding of all project activities, schedules and deliverables.Help to manage client responsibilities and expectations.Work with management to develop the objectives/goals of each member and assign individual responsibilities.Ensure that construction activities move according to pre-determined schedule.Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis.Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.Qualifications:Ability to multitask and maintain effectiveness with multiple prioritiesProfessional demeanor; remain calm and emotionally controlled under pressureAbility to follow directions and take initiative when requiredExcellent communication, accounting and organizational skillsFamiliar with Microsoft OfficeA basic to good understanding of construction means and methodsBasic understanding/proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industryCompleted OSHA ET&D TrainingEducation and/or Work Experience: Must have one of the followingDegree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Technology, or Construction ManagementConstruction Management with 1-2 years of experience with a commercial and/or Industrial general contractor; 2+ years of directly related experience with no degreePhysical Demands and Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. This position is primarily sedentary, with some filing or lifting required.
