Marion Rehabilitation is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our clinical team in Marion, Ohio.

This is a full-time, Monday through Friday position offering 40 hours per week and a consistent weekday schedule. It is a great opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist who enjoys working with residents with complex respiratory needs and wants to be part of an interdisciplinary team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.
What You'll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will work closely with nursing staff, physicians, respiratory leadership, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide respiratory care based on each resident's individual needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Assess and monitor residents' respiratory status.
• Provide respiratory treatments in accordance with physician orders and plans of care.
• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy.
• Provide nebulizer and other prescribed aerosol treatments.
• Perform tracheostomy care and suctioning within scope of practice.
• Assist with CPAP, BiPAP, AVAPS, and ventilator management as applicable.
• Monitor respiratory equipment and respond appropriately to alarms or changes in resident condition.
• Recognize and respond to respiratory emergencies.
• Communicate changes in condition to nursing and the appropriate practitioner.
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, interventions, and resident response.
• Educate residents and families regarding respiratory treatments when appropriate.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, rehabilitation staff, and other members of the care team.
• Follow infection prevention, oxygen safety, and respiratory equipment procedures.
• Participate in required education, competency validation, and quality improvement activities.

• Monday-Friday
• 40 hours per week
• $43.00 per hour dayshift, $45.00 per hour night shift
• In-person position at Marion Rehabilitation in Marion, Ohio

Qualifications

Required:

• Current Ohio license to practice respiratory care in good standing.
• Ability to provide respiratory care within applicable professional scope of practice.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred:

• CRT or RRT credential.
• Current BLS certification.
• Previous respiratory therapy experience.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, post-acute care, LTACH, or another setting caring for individuals with complex respiratory needs.
• Experience with tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, AVAPS, or mechanical ventilation.
