Registered Nurse MS/Tele

Schedule: 12 Hour Night Shift: 18:45 - 07:15

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 16 Weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Ability to float to all areas holding Med-Surg patients
• Strong Med-Surg background required
• Certifications: BCLS, NIH
• Work Setting Skills: MS/Tele
• Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias & Use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management & Starting and maintaining IVs
• Respiratory Skills: Nasal Cannula & Non-invasive airway management
• Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions/PPE
• Unit Systems: Epic, Pyxis

Responsibilities

• Providing nursing care to patients on telemetry and medical-surgical units
• Monitoring and interpreting patient vital signs and medical data
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educating patients and their families regarding care plans and treatments
• Participating in emergency response situations as needed
