Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients across a mixed-acuity unit, including neonates under 23 weeks gestational age through full-term newborns
• Manage and monitor patients requiring Level 4 NICU acuity care, including those on IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management
• Assess and treat conditions including Respiratory Distress Syndrome and other complex neonatal diagnoses
• Maintain typical patient ratios of 1:3, with occasional 1:4 ratios during surge periods
• Float within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit as needed to meet facility demands
• Complete required facility modules during orientation and annually as directed by unit educators

• Active RN license (pending licensure may be accepted at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• BCLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Proficiency with IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience floating to Pediatric ICU or similar high-acuity pediatric settings
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior travel nursing experience

• Work within a Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Children's Hospital environment offering exposure to a wide range of high-acuity neonatal cases
• Expected 36 hours per week with the possibility of 48-hour contracts and overtime availability on contracts signed on or after 10/30/2025
