Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. This role focuses on selling forklifts, warehouse equipment, rentals, planned maintenance programs, parts, and service solutions to industrial and commercial customers.

The Ideal candidate is a driven sales professional who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and helping customers improve their material handling operations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer visits.
• Manage and grow an assigned sales territory.
• Sell new and used forklifts, warehouse equipment, rentals, parts, service and preventative maintenance programs.
• Identify customer equipment needs and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare quotes, proposals, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct equipment demonstrations and presentations.
• Negotiate pricing and close sales opportunities.
• Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with the service, rental, and parts department to provide complete customer solutions.
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities sing CRM software.
• Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and new technologies.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales experience preferred.
• Experience in forklift, industrial equipment, construction equipment, heavy equipment, commercial vehicle, or B2B industrial sales is highly preferred.
• Proven ability to generate new business and close sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
