The College of Fine Arts is the college of creativity at The University of Texas at Austin—a home for artists, performers, designers, scholars, educators, makers and creatives ready to change the world.

Purpose

To support students in the College of Fine Arts (COFA) by contributing to career development curriculum, supporting the delivery of Life Design courses for BA students and MAMA minors, and collaborating with faculty on co-curricular modules. The role works with the Life Design Coordinator to support workshops, assist students in pursuing professional opportunities, and contribute to strategies that increase student engagement with Career Services, while also supporting broader programming and related logistics.

Responsibilities

• Course Development and Instruction: Support the delivery of Life Design courses for the College of Fine Arts. Contribute to curriculum development based on student feedback, and student assessment.
• Program Support and Community Engagement: Provide operational and programmatic support for Life Design initiatives and broader Career Services programming. Responsibilities include assisting with planning and implementation, coordinating logistics, and supporting program delivery to ensure continuity and effectiveness. Collaborate with partners and support student engagement efforts to build a strong Life Design presence within the College of Fine Arts.
• Facilitation and Coordination: Collaborate with faculty and central instructional designers to support the integration of Life Design modules into first-year courses. Assist in the development and facilitation of workshops that introduce Life Design concepts to student groups within the College of Fine Arts.
• Data Tracking and Assessment Support: Partner with the Career Success Administrative Assessment Associate and Central Career Success team to collect, track, and organize data related to student engagement and outcomes across courses, workshops, and other Life Design touchpoints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience coordinating or administering a program or Master's degree with one year of experience coordinating or administering a program.
• At least one year of teaching experience.
• Experience coordinating or administrating a program.
• Experience developing social media content to increase stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
• Former experience working with students in higher education/teaching at the college level.
• One year experience creating mentorship programs for students.
• Familiarity with career tracks in the arts.
• Familiarity with career development frameworks.
• Community engagement experience.

Salary Range

$50,000 - $54,000

Working Conditions

• 5 days a week in person for at least first 45 days. At least 4 days in office per week—student-facing position
• Prolonged screen time
• Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation
• Use of manual dexterity.

Work Shift

• Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm
