Respiratory Therapist RRT

Job Summary:


The Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing advanced respiratory care and neurodiagnostic support to patients, primarily in adult critical care and emergency room settings. The role requires expertise in respiratory therapy, strong clinical skills, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. The therapist will perform diagnostic testing, administer respiratory treatments, and ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. A minimum of one year of relevant experience and current certifications are required.

Responsibilities:

• Perform respiratory therapy treatments and neurodiagnostic procedures on critically ill adult patients.
• Conduct diagnostic testing and monitoring to assess respiratory and neurological function.
• Administer ventilator management and airway care in emergency and critical care settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document all procedures and treatments.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide advanced life support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in adult critical care and emergency room respiratory therapy.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience with neurodiagnostic procedures and equipment.
• Additional certifications related to respiratory or neurodiagnostic specialties.
• Previous travel therapy experience.

Special Considerations:

• Must be willing to work night shifts and weekends.
• Travel therapy position open to first-time travelers.
• Work environment includes adult critical care and emergency room settings.

Scheduling:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week.
• Weekend work is required.
