Founded in 2008, Maverick Fund Solutions was built by wholesalers, for wholesalers. We are the outsourced sales force for boutique and emerging fund managers, offering advisors a suite of four-star, top-of-category boutique strategies that large corporate shops can't match.

Maverick represents nearly two dozen distinct strategies across mutual funds, ETFs, and private offerings. Our focus is the independent channel, including LPL, Cetera, Osaic, and Raymond James, along with RIAs, with select funds also available at Morgan Stanley.

The average Maverick wholesaler has more than 15 years of industry experience and has been with us for over 8 years. Our people stay because the model works.

The Opportunity

We are adding experienced external wholesalers to cover multiple open territories across the Great Lakes, New England, and Southwest. You'll work with your own advisor relationships, set your own strategy and schedule, and represent a differentiated product lineup. We're open to candidates who live anywhere with strong ties to these regions.

What Maverick Provides

Independent doesn't mean on your own. You get:

• Marketing support: Technology, sales materials, promo items, leads, and a limited budget
• Scheduling support: Available dedicated schedulers to help fill your calendar with advisor meetings
• Data and platform access: Full sales reporting and data provided by various data brokers housed in Salesforce
• Licensing and compliance support
• Hands-on sales support when you need it: our asset managers and internal leadership are available to travel with you, join meetings, and help close business. You decide when to call on them. There are no mandatory ride-alongs.

Compensation

Uncapped, with multiple structures depending on the product*:

• Up-front commissions: up to 50bps
• Hybrid (up-front + trail): 20bps + 5bps
• Trail-only: 18bps as long as assets are on the books

In a world where comp is being compressed and you’re asked to do more every year for the same amount, this is the last bastion of uncapped sales and a place to generate recurring revenue

The Trade-Offs, Plainly

This role isn't for everyone, and we'd rather say so up front:

• It's 1099. There is no salary, no employer-sponsored benefits, and no corporate 401(k). You manage your own taxes, health coverage, and retirement planning. 
• Your income is production-driven. The upside is uncapped and so is the variability.

In exchange, you get ownership of your schedule, your strategy, and the business you build.

Who Thrives Here

• 5+ years as an external, hybrid, or internal wholesaler, or as a financial advisor, with a verifiable record of raising assets.
• Established professional relationships with RIAs, independent BDs, or wirehouse advisors in the Great Lakes or New England (open to other regions as well)
• Comfort running your own business, including planning your territory, managing your pipeline, and holding yourself accountable
• Active FINRA Series 6 or 7 in good standing
