Registered Nurse - Telemetry

$2080.80/week - Job Summary: The Telemetry Nurse will provide specialized cardiovascular monitoring and patient care for a high-acuity unit. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to abnormal findings. Administer and manage medications such as amiodarone and Cardizem drips, supporting post-cath patients and stroke care. Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care and coordinate treatments. Document patient status and interventions accurately using the Meditech EMR system. Maintain compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards, including equipment operation and infection control. Provide education and emotional support to patients and families as needed. Qualifications: Active ACLS certification required. Minimum of 1 year of recent telemetry or cardiac step-down experience. Strong ability to interpret complex cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately. Excellent teamwork and communication skills in a high-energy environment. Flexibility to float to other telemetry or med-surg units. Ability to work 13-week assignments with a focus on patient safety and quality care.
