Litigation Associate
Our client is a well-established suburban law firm with a strong reputation across litigation, trusts and estates, real estate, business/corporate law, and transactional matters. Their litigation practice handles a broad range of matters, including business and corporate disputes, company loyalty and business break-up disputes, bank and financial institution litigation, real estate and construction litigation, and trusts and estate litigation, including will contests and guardianship proceedings. The firm provides attorneys with meaningful responsibility while maintaining the personal attention of a boutique practice.
About the Position: As a Litigation Associate, you will have immediate opportunities to:
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and discovery
- Participate in hearings, depositions, and other proceedings
- Assist with trial preparation and litigation strategy
- Handle a diverse caseload involving commercial and business disputes
- Work on real estate and construction litigation
- Assist with trusts and estate disputes, will contests, and guardianship proceedings
- Handle bank and financial institution litigation and other general civil litigation matters
This position offers hands-on litigation experience, meaningful client interaction, and the opportunity to further develop your advocacy skills within a respected and collaborative practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
- 2-5+ years of litigation experience.
- Experience with civil, commercial, business, real estate, trusts and estates, or related litigation preferred.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Professionalism, responsiveness, and a client-centered approach.
