Job Title: Production Planner Location-Type: Onsite - Calhoun, GA (5 days/week, M-F; occasional team meetings in Chatsworth, GA approximately 1x/month) Start Date: ASAP (targeting 8/5) Duration: Contract-to-Hire, 6 months Compensation Range: $46.96/hr - $55.25/hr Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K Visa Sponsorship: Not eligible for visa sponsorship Job Description: This role is responsible for managing a high-volume purchasing and vendor planning operation, ensuring purchase orders are executed accurately, vendor relationships are maintained, and cross-system data integrity is upheld across a complex, multi-SKU supply chain environment. Job Summary •Manage and track approximately 3,000 purchase orders across 10 primary vendors and 50 vendors total, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment •Cross-reference and reconcile purchase order data between two separate ERP systems to identify and resolve discrepancies •Conduct root cause analysis on order failures, process breakdowns, and vendor performance issues, and present findings and solutions to senior leadership •Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure vendor performance and planning process effectiveness •Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing and planning workflows •Maintain accurate documentation for all open purchase orders, vendor records, and related tickets •Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operations teams to align purchasing activities with broader business goals Minimum Requirements: •Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or a related field •3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain planning, or a related operations role •Advanced Excel proficiency, including lookup tables, and comfort working with spreadsheets exceeding 3,000 rows of data •Experience with SKU management in a complex, high-volume product environment (100 SKUs) •ERP experience, any platform (CAM or SAP experience is a strong plus) •Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present decisions and rationale to VP-level stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: •Experience with SAP •Background in manufacturing, flooring, or a similarly SKU-intensive industry •Demonstrated ability to proactively identify process gaps and bring vetted solutions, not just surface-level problems •Experience managing vendor relationships across a broad and complex supplier base
