Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily accounting operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and managing the month-end and year-end close processes. This role supervises accounting staff, supports audits and tax compliance, and partners with the VP of Finance to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Month-end and year-end close Financial statement preparation Account reconciliations Fixed asset management Sales tax, income tax, and audit support Oversight and training of accounting staff QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA required 5–8+ years accounting experience Public accounting experience preferred Month-end close ownership Financial statement preparation Skills GAAP knowledge Revenue recognition Fixed asset accounting Sales and use tax Process discipline Training and mentoring Problem-solving Time management Audit findings, reviews and resolution Close cycle completion WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
