Position Highlights Position: Post-Doc Research Fellow-Ortho Location: Skokie, IL Compensation: Salary determined by NIH Salary Guidelines ($63,480-$77,076) Full Time Hours: Monday-Friday, standard business hours, onsite A Brief Overview The Post-Doctoral Research Fellow position will be responsible for biomechanical lab research projects and will work closely with the lab director and interface with other researchers, post-docs, residents and physicians. What Will You Do Knowledge of Endeavor Health impolicies and procedures that apply to the job's area of responsibility. Ongoing growth and development from participation in events such as workshops, in-service programs, and professional meetings. Manages, organizes, and plans the laboratory's experimental work in collaboration with the lab director and project principal investigator. Designs, sets up, and conducts various complex experiments related to motion analysis, EMGs, and experimental validation. Regularly reviews scientific literature. Evaluate and recommend applicable techniques and procedures. Analyzes and prepares research outcome results and PPTs and peer review papers and abstracts. Consult with professional research personnel regarding research design, experimental techniques, instrumentation, and scientific inference from research results. Knowledge of 3D printing and CAD is desirable. Performs statistical analysis for all the experiments when needed. Performs evidence-based analysis. Performs related duties as required or assigned. Participates in grant writing. Participates in writing and submission of peer-reviewed manuscripts. What You Will Need Education: Doctorate Degree in Science and Engineering preferred; MD or PHD required Experience: 2 Years’ Experience in a professional research laboratory, preferred in the field of clinical biomechanics, Gait analysis, Musculoskeletal modeling and experimental Design. Skills: Extensive knowledge of current medical and biomechanical literature and research findings in related research areas. Excellent familiarity with computational methods and simulation and knowledge of mathematical methods/algorithms used in musculoskeletal systems. Able to develop tools for the analysis and visualization of biomechanical data. Able to solve technical and inter-laboratory problems related to research. Ability to prepare and author scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publication.
