PHC Technician “Learn how to care for trees and shrubs through hands‑on treatment applications.” This role focuses on applying treatments that protect trees and shrubs from insects and disease, and provides nutrition through fertilization. It’s a great fit for someone who: Enjoys outdoor work May have lawn care or landscape application experience Likes the idea of a seasonal role Prefers active, independent workdays What You’ll Do Apply plant health treatments using spray equipment and soil injection tools Monitor properties for signs of insects, disease, or stress Interact professionally with clients on‑site Maintain clean, organized equipment and vehicles Complete required paperwork What You’ll Learn Safe and proper use of PHC equipment Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles How to identify common tree and shrub species Recognition of common regional insect and disease issues How to earn your Massachusetts Pesticide Applicators License Benefits Employees who work 30+ hours per week are considered full‑time and become eligible for our benefits after just 30 days of employment.
