Vending Route Manager

Job Description Role Overview Sodexo is seeking a Vending Route Manager for InReach located in Newark, New Jersey . The position requires a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record, and is a third‑shift role working 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. What You’ll Do Assist in driver check‑in and check‑out and order preparation. Assist warehouse personnel in receiving deliveries and picking and issuing products to vending routes. Monitor daily meter and inventory accountability at machine level and at truck level. Train route drivers in using handheld scanners, making minor machine repairs, following security procedures with respect to money and inventory, and other defined training programs. Perform route driver duties when necessary. Conduct ride‑alongs with drivers to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies. Inspect trucks for cleanliness, compliance with truck plan‑ograms, safety, and mechanical condition. Inspect vending machines for compliance with plan‑ograms, proper inventory levels, cleanliness, and product freshness. Assist in development or modification of route schedules. Collaborate with other departments to improve business processes and efficiencies. Champion a safety‑focused work environment to reduce or eliminate work‑related accidents and injuries. Carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, coaching and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing skills; rewarding or recommending disciplinary actions; addressing complaints and resolving issues; and escalating matters appropriately to the Branch Manager. What You Bring High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Three or more years of relevant route experience. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Effective communicator and collaborator with a passion for developing talent. Ability to demonstrate urgency and problem‑solving skills and a dedication to customer service. Proficiency with database inventory management software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Mechanical skills and ability to operate manual and industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts. Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. and work in outdoor weather conditions. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Education Requirement: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum Management Experience: 2 years.
