New York University: NYU - NY: Arts and Science (A&S): Biology and Genomics Location New York, NY Deadline Jun 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The Coruzzi lab is seeking to fill a part‑time Summer Assistant Research Scientist position for a project in Systems Biology. This position is based in New York and the selected candidate will be expected to work onsite as of their effective start date. Responsibilities may include assisting PhD and postdoctoral researchers in experiments in plant genomics, performing seed propagation, plant growth and plant tissue culture in Arabidopsis, rice and maize, carrying out and troubleshooting a variety of molecular biology protocols such as RNA isolation, DNA isolation and RNA‑seq library construction, and completing TARGET experiments. The candidate should have an undergraduate degree in some field of biology. A master’s degree is preferred. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act the annual base salary range for this position is $18/Hr for 10 hours per week. There is opportunity for additional hours depending on laboratory needs and funding availability.
