Human Resources Secretary (Shared)

Location: Central Office | Burlington County Special Services School District & Burlington County Institute of Technology

Position Summary: Burlington County Special Services School District (BCSSSD) and Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) are seeking a qualified candidate for a part time, hourly Non-Aligned Secretary position. This shared position supports the efficient operation of Human Resources and requires a highly organized, professional, and dependable individual capable of managing confidential information and multiple priorities in a busy office environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following direction. The successful candidate must interact professionally and confidentially with employees, administrators, Board members, and the public. The role provides administrative support to the human resources department, assisting with various tasks related to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, NJDOE certification, and HR records maintenance. The successful candidate must be highly organized and have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately with a high level of independent judgement and professionalism. An understanding of educational institution language and procedures of the Board of Education are a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Human Resources experience preferred
• Previous experience in a busy, confidential office setting preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to handle confidential matters with professionalism and discretion
• Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently while taking direction
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail
• Proficiency in basic office procedures and office equipment
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the public
• Self-motivated and dependable

Hourly Rate: $28.00 - $35.00
