JOB DESCRIPTION
Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken in Austin Texas is hiring Cashiers to join our crew! Pay is $10/hr plus tips that are paid out every evening. You will be expected to take phone calls and operate a cash register, while also ringing up to-go guests and handing out orders. Cashiers at Gus's also manage an 8-seat bar-top for guests that want to dine in at the bar. The ideal candidate will have a sense of urgency and be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Schedule: Applicant MUST have OPEN AVAILABILITY
Shifts run every day at 9:30am–4:30pm and 3:30pm–11:00pm . :
We’re a busy downtown spot, so speed and consolidation are key.
No late nights!
No rolling silverware!
No tip pool! Tips are paid out nightly in cash .

REQUIREMENTS- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, courteous service at all times
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and process payments correctly
- Handle cash, card, and mobile payments while following all cash-handling procedures
- Verify order details and ensure items are correct and ready for pickup or delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and restock supplies as needed
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks during busy periods
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards relevant to cashier duties
- Support team members by assisting with basic tasks such as bagging items or helping during peak times
- Be reliable and punctual for full-time scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
