Chattanooga, TN, USA Job Description Posted Monday, April 20, 2026 at 4:00 AM Your Impact at Empire Homes The primary responsibilities of this position will include being fully responsible for the construction of the homes within the community, community appearance, liaison between the community sales agent and each customer as it relates to the construction of each home, and budget and schedule management. This role is located out of our Empire Homes Chattanooga Office. What We Are Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in building construction or similar field; or Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated managerial or supervisory experience Knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques Working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal building codes Proficiency in the use of construction tools, equipment, and maintenance techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, work orders, and technical documents Strong communication skills, including the ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex instructions and present information effectively in individual and small group settings Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) Bonus If You Have These Skills: Proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage both concrete and abstract variables in dynamic situations Why Join Empire Homes? What You’ll Be Doing Each Day Manage all phases of residential construction from pre-planning through final completion, including closeout items Oversee trade partners to ensure quality, adherence to scope, and timely completion of work Maintain job site readiness to ensure efficient workflow and minimize delays Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the construction process Conduct buyer orientations and provide regular updates Ensure all customization and upgrade requests are accurately executed Manage project budgets and financial performance for assigned homes Monitor costs, maintain profit margins, and address budget variances Coordinate scheduling of trade partners and material deliveries to optimize timelines and reduce costs Ensure timely delivery and protect materials from damage or theft Partner with Sales to review project progress and confirm customer selections and changes Ensure compliance with all safety standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.) Complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining quality standards Participate in meetings and collaborate with internal teams as needed Who We Are We are one of North America’s largest private homebuilders, with operations in Ontario, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, and Colorado.
