Mental Health Intake Nurse

In this role, you will perform initial psychiatric and medical intake assessments, triage acuity, and coordinate safe admissions, transfers, or referrals. You will obtain health histories, complete suicide and risk screenings, verify insurance information, and collaborate with psychiatrists, providers, and families to determine appropriate level of care. The nurse documents thoroughly, ensures regulatory and EMTALA compliance, and provides crisis interventions with empathy.
