Supply Chain Planner (Order Manager)

Job Summary: Our telecom client is looking for a Supply Chain Planner (Order Manager) to support order management operations on a 6-month contract (likely to extend). This role centers on keeping orders, shipments, and dealer inquiries moving. The org is mid‑migration from SAP to Oracle, so this contractor keeps the legacy SAP order operation running while full‑time staff focus on the new system. Mornings are spent in the order management resolution inbox unblocking orders and answering dealer and internal questions, afternoons shift to reporting, shipment status, and data work. The right candidate brings order management experience within supply chain, strong SAP and Excel skills, and a doer mindset, someone who learns the system and executes rather than trying to redesign it. Device or telecom supply chain background is strongly preferred. This role is onsite in Bellevue, WA or Herndon, VA with Bellevue preferred. Core Responsibilities Monitor the order management resolution inbox (OMCS), resolve order issues, and unblock stuck orders Reply to and resolve dealer questions and internal emails Receive, enter, and validate customer orders, reserve inventory, and determine delivery dates Generate, analyze, and monitor open order reports to validate system integrity, SLA, EDI, and IDOCs Coordinate with Channel Managers, Logistics, and Allocation Planning to clear backorders and release orders to the DC Resolve return exceptions and coordinate credits and deduction adjustments with Finance and Channel Managers Root‑cause process failures and implement small process improvements Required Skills/Experience (Must‑Haves) 1+ years of supply chain experience (will flex up for candidates with strong order management and Microsoft Excel) Order management experience within supply chain Strong Microsoft Excel: pivots, formulas, filters, vlookup, ability to work in detail and present cleanly SAP experience (ECC/fulfillment preferred) Strong reporting and data skills, comfortable with open order reports and shipment status Understanding of supply chain flow upstream and downstream Ability to work independently and within a team Doer mindset, learns the system and executes Local to Bellevue, WA or Herndon, VA and able to commute onsite Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice‑to‑Haves) Device supply chain experience (phones, handsets, physical devices) Telecom or wireless industry background Oracle experience (SAP to Oracle) Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) knowledge EDI/IDOC exposure Familiarity with allocation planning and backorder management Key Competencies and Behaviors Coachable, doer who learns the system and runs with it Strong in Microsoft Excel and comfortable living in detailed data and reporting Communicates clearly and answers questions well, easy to work with on a team Comfortable in a high‑volume, execution‑focused role (inbox in the morning, reporting in the afternoon) Does not over‑complicate or try to redesign the process Reliable with onsite attendance and hours Work Environment Location: Bellevue, WA or Herndon, VA Schedule & Duration Onsite. Duration: 6 months (likely extends to 12‑18 months) Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $40.00 /hr and $48.00 /hr.
