Perinatal Health Program Specialist (Position 37437, Job ID 26141044) – The Department of Public Health & Human Services (DPHHS) seeks a Program Specialist to lead and manage perinatal health initiatives for low‑income and disabled Montanans. This grant‑funded role (through September 29 2028) oversees maternal‑health Medicaid programs, implements innovative care strategies, and manages the HRSA Maternal Mental Health & Substance Use Disorders (MMHSUD) grant. Responsibilities Lead and manage perinatal health programs, including the Meadowlark Initiative™ and MTPAL for Moms. Oversee all maternal‑health Medicaid programs such as the Promising Pregnancy Program and the Home Visiting initiative. Implement and manage innovative health‑care programs and strategies. Administer the HRSA MMHSUD grant, coordinating with federal partners and monitoring budgets. Collaborate with health‑policy stakeholders, advocating for improved maternal‑health outcomes. Qualifications General knowledge of Medicaid and medical terminology. Knowledge of grant administration, contract management, and budget monitoring principles. Understanding of perinatal mental health, public health, and social determinants of health. Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, public health, health administration, or related field. Minimum of two years of job‑related experience in health policy, health‑program development, or health administration. Preferred: experience in the medical service delivery system.
