Child Care Supervisor

Child Care Supervisor – ElCajon, CA – We are looking for a highly motivated and dependable supervisor for our Stage1 Child Care Services. The supervisor will manage a unit within the CalWORKs project team, oversee child care staff, and coordinate with families, community partners, and internal systems. Responsibilities Manage a team of Case Managers and Program Assistants supporting the Child Care team. Ensure services and outcomes are accurately tracked and reported on time. Request and compile required reports. Apply extensive knowledge of Stage1 child care terminology, policies, and procedures. Implement best practices, create SOPs, and continually assess processes for improvement. Lead the team through organizational change and transitions. Train and coach the team to ensure proper performance and accurate reporting. Establish and maintain relationships with CalWORKs participants, County staff, child‑care providers, and Alternative Payment agencies. Provide monthly reporting statistics to the supervisor for the designated area. Perform regular quality control checks on data and system functionality in CalSAWS, the child‑care database, and KinderTrack. Manage caseloads, conduct quality reviews, and address data inconsistencies promptly. Provide coaching, training, and support to staff and other departmental needs. Required Skills Excellent accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of modern office practices and computer proficiency. Experience with computer systems, preferably CalSAWS and KinderTrack. Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with community partners and providers. Skill in motivating and partnering with clients from diverse backgrounds. Effective record‑keeping and follow‑up system maintenance. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on multiple projects. Experience meeting strict standards and deadlines. Qualifications Associate's degree or 6 years of experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Working Conditions Office setting, Monday‑Friday 8am‑5pm, up to 20% travel. Compensation and Benefits Compensation: $64,480 – $74,480. Benefits include medical and dental care, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
