There's something quite telling about a CPA firm where people join and then don't seem to want to leave especially in Public Accounting, where moving firms every few years has almost become the norm.

I've helped two people join this firm over the past year, both from larger firms, and the feedback has been excellent. More flexibility, better support and, quite simply, they're happier.

The firm has been around since the 80s, has incredibly low staff turnover and a Partner group that genuinely believes family comes first.

And that doesn't just mean having a nice conversation about work life balance during your interview.

Busy season doesn't really kick in until March, with hours typically reaching 50 for just a few weeks. You'll have hybrid flexibility, approachable Partners and the freedom to manage your time without someone constantly checking what you're doing.

But you won't be sacrificing your career development for a quieter life either.

You'll work with a varied client base, including high net worth individuals, Partnerships, Trusts and Non Profit organisations, getting involved in preparation, review and client relationships.

Form 990 experience is important, as the firm has a strong Non Profit client base, alongside broader tax work involving 1040s, 1041s and 1065s.

You'll work directly with experienced Partners, develop your review skills and gradually take on more responsibility, with the opportunity to progress towards Tax Manager.

They're looking for someone with recent Public Accounting tax experience, some exposure to Form 990 and ideally a CPA or EA qualification.
