Senior Transportation Construction Inspector

Morton Thomas & Associates, Inc. (AMT, Inc.) is hiring Senior Construction Inspectors in the Transportation sector to support projects throughout the VDOT Fredericksburg District and surrounding areas. The role requires overtime, night or weekend work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Candidates will be subject to background checks. Hourly rate will be based on qualifying experience and certifications. Responsibilities Verify that all work performed is in accordance with plans and contractual specifications. Measure and verify quantities, dimensions, and specifications. Act as a liaison between VDOT and the prime contractor. Qualifications 5+ years of transportation construction experience, ideally within the State of Virginia. VDOT Level II, III, or IV certification strongly preferred; candidates without the certification but who meet requirements may be considered. Out-of-state candidates with similar certifications will be considered. Valid driver’s license. Available for overtime, nights, and weekends as needed. Must be willing to undergo a background check.
