Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Conducting comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health and relational issues. \n
- Facilitating therapy sessions for couples and families, offering guidance in addressing complex dynamics and improving communication skills. \n
- Providing individual therapy, ensuring each client has a tailored approach that respects their unique experiences and aspirations. \n
- Developing and implementing treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals. \n
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress. \n
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals in our clinic to provide coordinated care to clients with concurrent health issues. \n
- Engaging clients in evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as grief, trauma, and relationship conflicts. \n
Our patient population includes a diverse range of individuals, couples, and families from San Francisco and the surrounding areas. We have extensive experience working with various issues such as:

- Alcohol and substance abuse \n
- Communication breakdowns in relationships \n
- Domestic abuse and trauma recovery \n
- Adjustment difficulties due to separation or divorce \n
- Challenges stemming from blended families \n
- Grief and loss \n
Our clients often seek therapy to navigate complicated family dynamics or to enhance their interpersonal relationships, making it essential for our therapists to utilize culturally sensitive approaches.
Qualifications\nTo be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

- A valid and current state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. \n
- Proven track record of building rapport with clients through empathy, active listening, and effective communication. \n
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism in all client interactions and documentation. \n
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively. \n
While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have:

- Experience working in a community health clinic or a similar setting. \n
- Utilization of telehealth technologies in providing client care. \n
- Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and family systems therapy. \n
