Position Overview United Health Services (UHS) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our Float Pool on night shift, supporting Medical‑Surgical/Telemetry and Critical Care units across Wilson Medical Center and Binghamton General Hospital. Work Locations UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY Primary Work Shift Night Compensation Range $44.77–$67.15 per hour, depending on experience Benefits Eligibility You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. Shift Differential Active and rewarding clinical ladder program with mentorship and financial incentive components Fee reimbursement for ANCC specialty certifications through our Success Pays program Financial support for eligible RNs to relocate Tuition Reimbursement Education Incentive Programs Current Opportunities May Include Full‑time and part‑time roles Night shift opportunities Float openings available for Medical Surgical units and Critical Care units Responsibilities Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact. Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources. Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy. Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services. Complies with all nursing practice standards, regulatory requirements, and UHS policies. Actively participates in and supports the Nursing Shared Governance Model by supporting the Unit Council, participating in improvement initiatives, and contributing to peer review practices. Actively engages in professional development, continuing nursing education, and completing all mandatory education requirements. Integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. Provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Performs duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator role when assigned. Other duties as assigned.
