Salary Range: $20.00 – $21.22 per hour

Position Overview
Kings View is seeking a Peer Support Specialist I to provide peer-based support services to individuals receiving behavioral health services. Utilizing lived experience, this role promotes recovery, resilience, engagement in services, and achievement of personal recovery goals while working within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide peer support services grounded in lived experience to promote hope and recovery
- Support individuals in identifying and achieving recovery goals
- Assist with navigating behavioral health and community-based systems
- Encourage participation in treatment and community integration
- Facilitate or co-facilitate groups as assigned
- Model coping strategies and wellness practices
- Maintain professional boundaries while building supportive relationships
- Complete accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical team members
- Participate in supervision, team meetings, and required trainings
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Lived experience with mental health, substance use, or recovery systems required
- Valid California Driver’s License (Class C) if driving is required
- Understanding of recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Peer support training, behavioral health experience, or bilingual skills preferred
