This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing who thrives in a dynamic school environment. The position covers a diverse caseload across Pre-K through grade 13, serving a total of 48 students in 25 buildings. Your expertise will support students’ success, focusing on consultative and direct services, IEP development, assistive technology, and progress monitoring.
Key Qualifications:
- Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting students across a range of grade levels, from early childhood to post-secondary
- Proficiency in IEP development, case management, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Familiarity with assistive technology for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with a caseload of 48 students, primarily providing monthly consultative or periodic direct services
- Deliver instruction and support in alignment with each student’s IEP goals
- Coordinate IEP meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Facilitate assistive technology solutions and provide related training
- Monitor student progress and adjust support as needed
- Maintain consistent communication with educators, specialists, and families

- Student contact ranges from as-needed consults to intensive, regular intervention (e.g., one student served 3x/week)
